When will it end?

Do you ever sit back and wonder, "When will it end"? I don't mean life or anything as drastic as that, but bills and debt? I feel like we can never get ahead of ourselves. We were doing pretty good until Chris got injured at work, but then bills started piling up and we find ourselves in more debt that we can imagine. Then of course taxes came back and we caught up...a little bit. Grrr....I am just ready for things to get more even again. I mean, we aren't poor...but boy do I feel like it sometimes.

On the upside....Drew is doing great in school as is Dakota. So those are two blessings in our lives. Wyatt is growing like a weed. He loves to eat solids and giggle like crazy. Still working on rolling over, but he hasn't figured out how to get past that arm that stands in the way each time. 4 months old, can you believe that? Time sure flies when you're having fun :)

Oh...and the biggest news of all....we are buying our house we are living in. Now, you are probably wondering why on earth we are getting ourselves into more debt after I just got done complaining about it just a moment ago...well, think about it this way, we are paying RENT on a home we are planning on living in for the rest of our lives, why pay it to someone else when we can just purchase it and pay down our mortgage with the same amount we are paying someone else. It evens us out and we having something to show for it. I love our little farm house. It's tiny, but it's ours or will soon be and that is what is important to us.

I'll post more later. Right now, it's lunch time and the kids (and I) need to be fed.

Updates

Well, it has been a while since I got on here and blogged...sorry for being so lazy. Between work, school and Wyatt...I seem to have no time for anything else.

Well, cloth diapering is going VERY well. We are now CDing full time and it is saving us so much money. Finally had to switch over to formula. I had Mirena placed (on the advice of my OB who assured me that it would have no affect on my breast milk) and within three, count them 3 days after it was placed, I dried up. WTF?!?!?!?!? Seriously? That was the other way we were going to save money, formula is so stinkin' expensive, but the kid has got to eat. Speaking of eating....he started solids this week. First it was green beans, not too big of fan of that and now we switched to Sweet Peas and he LOVES them....poor kid takes after mommy because daddy HATES peas...lol

I am currently working part-time as a BeautiControl Independent Consultant. I really enjoy it and I am actually making a little bit of money. Not too much yet since I have only done a handful of spas but I can see that I am making money and Chris sees it, so that is all that matters. I am not very good at pushing the booking or recruiting issue at my spas, I am sure as I continue I will do better, but I don't like being one of "those" consultants. You know the ones, they harass you until you decide to either join or have a party just so they shut up. I want my clients and friends to have fun and decide on their own. I have a few that are wanting to do parties, but want to wait for a few months, which it totally fine with me. But I am hoping the referrals come in so I can start to spa more regularly. The extra cash has been helping since Chris has been off work. Wish I would have started this sooner.

Well, I actually have a spa today and am seriously looking forward to it. My friend Tiffany is hosting it :) Yeah Tiff!!!

Well, I had better get a move on it. I need to make sure I have all the packets put together before I leave the house. I hope everyone has a very happy and fruitful day today!

Cloth Diapering

Well, I've decided to try cloth diapering Wyatt. My good friend Nicolette sent me some as a baby shower gift and she's been helping me decide which ones I like. So far I am addicted to finding good deals...lol Waiting on a couple I ordered so I can do it on a more full-time basis. Right now we are just doing it part-time until we get them in. Wish me luck.

Oh, and if anyone has any recommendations for anything they like, let me know. Thanks!!

It's a....

BOY!!!
Another one at any rate. I think I got this mom of a boy thing down pat...why couldn't I just have a girl and then I would be totally done? Oh well, at least this gives us the option of trying again at a later date.

Due date is still December 23rd, let's hope this little boy decides to come a little early. I would really rather not be in the hospital on Christmas Day.

Weather SUCKS!!!

I HATE IOWA!!! Ok, take that back, I hate Iowa WEATHER!!! We were supposed to go out for my birthday tonight, left to go out to dinner and we are having 44mph winds. Hwy 1 is crazy. Everything is blowing over, so if we went out tonight, but the time we came home, the road would have been drifted over. Can I ever plan something for me birthday without the weather screwing it up??? Oh well...maybe another weekend....just can't make "plans"...lol

So, Chris and I are hanging out at home tonight and playing video games. At least the weather did not keep us apart. Stay warm tonight, it's cold and nasty!

Wedding Planning

Well, the wedding planning is in full swing. According to my Wedding book profile, Chris and I have 155 days until the wedding. Now, this may seem like a lot of days to you, but you need to understand that when we got engaged we were sitting at 485 days. Seems like things are moving so slowly. We have so much done but so much left to do. I am eager to get the big wedding over with so we can just go on with our lives. I am definitely nervous about standing in front of all my family and friends. I don't do well under pressure...granted it's good pressure, but it's pressure all the same.

Here is the list of what we still need to do:
Pay off the photographer
Get our engagement pictures taken (we have this scheduled for May)
Make the boutonnieres, corsages, and bouquets
Buy the gifts for the groomsmen (picked out and need to pay for them)
Address invitations and mail them out
Pay for my veil

Oh I know I am missing stuff, I just don't have the full list in front of me....ok, I guess I should actually get back to doing some homework.
